Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Palkarly (“Palkarly”, “we”, “us”), a community matrimonial platform for the Sowrastra Hindu community. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use Palkarly.

1. Eligibility

You must be of legal marriageable age under Indian law and at least 18 years old to use Palkarly. You may create a profile only for yourself, or for a person on whose behalf you are authorised to act (such as a son or daughter) with their consent. One person may maintain only one active profile.

2. Your account & accurate information

  • You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account.
  • You agree to provide true, accurate, and current information and to keep it updated.
  • New profiles are manually reviewed before becoming visible in discovery. We may approve, reject, or request changes to a profile at our discretion.

3. Acceptable use

You agree that you will not:

  • Create false, misleading, or impersonating profiles, or post another person’s photos as your own.
  • Harass, abuse, threaten, defraud, or spam other members, or solicit money from them.
  • Use the platform for any commercial, promotional, or non-matrimonial purpose.
  • Post unlawful, obscene, defamatory, or offensive content, or content that infringes others’ rights.
  • Attempt to access, scrape, disrupt, or reverse-engineer the platform or other members’ data.

Violations may result in suspension or a permanent ban without notice.

4. Content you provide

You retain ownership of the photos and information you submit. You grant Palkarly a limited licence to host, display, and process that content solely to operate the matchmaking service (for example, showing your profile to other members). You are responsible for the content you upload and confirm you have the right to share it.

5. No guarantee of results

Palkarly is a platform to help members discover and connect with potential life partners. We do not guarantee matches, responses, or marriage, and we do not independently verify the identity, background, marital status, or intentions of every member. Exercise your own judgement and caution before sharing personal details or meeting anyone, and involve your family as appropriate.

6. Fees

Core features are currently provided free of charge. If we introduce paid plans or add-ons in the future, the applicable pricing and terms will be shown to you before you pay, and payments will be handled through a secure payment provider.

7. Suspension & termination

You may deactivate or delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, misuse the platform, or where required to protect other members or comply with law.

8. Disclaimers & limitation of liability

The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Palkarly is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for the conduct of any member, arising from your use of the platform.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Dindigul, Tamil Nadu.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
